The Salon
And There Was A Great Cry In Egypt
Dark myrrh, white sandalwood, amber, hyssop, frankincense, honey, cypress, red musk, cardamom and saffron.
Sexy and dark and masculine, but Iain wouldn't wear this and it's too MALE for me. (My forum review).
The Arrival at the Sabbath and Homage to the Devil
Bourbon vanilla, benzoin, caramel, Mysore sandalwood, aged black patchouli, carnation, and iris florentina.
The caramel swamps everything else and oversweetens this. (My forum review).
Bat
Dusty amber, grey musk, red orchid, moonflower, night-blooming phlox, stock, honeysuckle, English ivy, toadflax, and purple salvia.
Starts off a bit soapy and green and light, ends up as detergent. (My forum review).
The Cup of Death
Peach blossom and peach tree leaf, Mysore sandalwood, French lavender, bois du rose, myrtle, and blue yarrow.
Warm and dry peaches - nice, but just a bit too dry for me. (My forum review).
Cupid Complaining to Venus
Apple blossom, fig, white peach, honey absolute, red sandalwood, and wild thyme.
Crisp, tart apples with a hint of peach - a bit too room-scent-like, I think. (My forum review).
The Ecstacy of St. Theresa
Frankincense, iris, white gardenia, Roman chamomile, amber, and agarwood.
The frankincense vanished, leaving gardenia and chamomile - clean and airy, but unspectacular. (My forum review).
Garden Path With Chickens
Damp grass, ivy leaves, morning glory, daisy, rose geranium, heliotrope, white gardenia, climbing roses, peppery nasturtium, phlox, begonia, verbena and sun-warmed herbs.
Very fresh and grassy, but a bit fabric-conditioner-ish. (My forum review).
The Great He-Goat
Haitian vetiver, Egyptian amber, carnation, black musk, pomegranate, patchouli, and smoked ginger.
Very dark and smoky, and then single-note vetiver. (My forum review).
The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed With the Sun
Daemonorops, vanilla, Indian sandalwood, Mexican copal, hyssop, muguet, sweet pea, amber, hazelwood, galbanum, hiba wood, and orchid.
Very vanilla-sweet over heavy, oppressive florals. (My forum review).
Itaso Kansei Nenkan Joro No Fuzoku
Osmanthus, white honey, ti leaf, hibiscus, and sugar cane.
Very sweet nectar and light, pretty florals - but a bit too light. (My forum review).
Judith Victorious
Chestnut blossom, lily of the valley, King mandarin, French magnolia, and golden musk.
Watery fresh snow and sweet candied chestnuts. Nice but not my thing at all. (My forum review).
La Mort Qui Danse
Black pepper, white ginger, Calla lily, and lily of the valley.
Green and crisp with creamy lilies, but the pepper is just too dry. (My forum review).
The Lantern Ghost of Oiwa
Black tea, cherry blossom, ho wood, calla lily, rice wine, and white mint.
Light, airy cold mint and tea with soft cherry blossom - very pretty. (My forum review).
Les Anges Dechus
Khus, blonde tobacco, life everlasting, orris root, black currant, cabreuva, Spanish moss, leather, and ambrette.
Musky herbal cologne for androgynous men - rather nice but I prefer others on Iain. (My forum review).
Lot and His Daughters
Indonesian black patchouli, petitgrain, brandewijn, incense, saffron, lemon peel, myrrh, skin musk, bourbon geranium, and tangerine.
The sugary lemon peel stomps all over everything else, but it might have been nice otherwise. (My forum review).
Melancholia
Blue lilac, white sandalwood, stargazer lily, paperwhite narcissus, ylang ylang, delphinium, and cypress.
A rather faint but mostly lilac-ish blend - very pretty. (My forum review).
Orpheus
Pale musk, green mandarin, neroli, benzoin, citrus peel, blue lavender, narcissus, stephanotis, crushed green stems, willow branch and cedar.
Was so so promising but I think the white musk made it feel too fake for me. (My forum review).
The Sailor's Den
Orris, bay rum, palm, coconut meat, oak wood, tobacco, linen, blue lilac, and leather.
Started off all linen, ended up feeling a bit grubby and disturbing. (My forum review).
Sunrise With Sea Monsters
Ocean mist, kelp, ambergris, amber, white pear, osmanthus, freesia, and seafoam accord.
Yummy! Fresh lovely oceanic-and-pear-and-freesia breeziness. (My forum review).
Three Gorgons
Egyptian amber, mandarin, tangerine, black pepper, tobacco, and vetiver.
Sort of soft and sweet in a Morocco sort of way, but fades fast. (My forum review).
